THERE have been reports of flooding in Old Windsor.

Lynne Jones, Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead councillor for Old Windsor, said the river had overflowed onto the towpath near the Bells of Ouzeley.

She said as of this morning the river was not above what it was this time two weeks ago, but the water level is expected to peak on Friday (28).

The Environment Agency and the Royal Borough are monitoring water levels in the area.

People have posted photographs of the affected areas on Twitter.

A flood warning issued on Christmas Eve for the River Thames at Old Windsor including Old Windsor Lock, Straight Road, Church Road, St Luke's Road and Friday Island, remains in place.
