A MURDER investigation has been launched following the death of a man this morning.

Thames Valley Police (TVP) were called to a disturbance at the Boulter Lock Hotel, in Boulters Lock Island, off Ray Mead Road, Maidenhead, just after 11pm last night and a man was subsequently taken to Wexham Park Hospital for treatment, but was pronounced dead at the hospital at 6am this morning.

Four people have been arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with the incident- an 18-year-old woman and three men aged 22, 24 and 29- who all remain in police custody at this time.

The man has yet to be formally identified

Detective Chief Inspector Joe Kidman said: "We are at the early stages of this investigation and we are trying to establish the full circumstances of what has happened in this incident.

"We are asking anyone who may have information or who was in the vicinity of Boulters Lock after 7pm last night to contact us."

Anyone with any information should contact TVP on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
